Dr. Jimmy Holland: Senior Pastor

Jimmy D Holland began his ministry as the Senior Pastor at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in April, 2009.   He has served as pastor in several churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas for over 24 years.  He graduated from WIlliams Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, AR in 1990, and Southwestern Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX with a Master of Divinity in 1993, and with a Doctor of Ministry in 2000.  Jimmy is married to Genia and has two sons, Andrew and Aaron.  Jimmy loves the outdoors and sports.

 

 

 

Ryan West: Youth Pastor    

Ryan West began serving as Youth Pastor at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in October, 2011.  He has served in churches in Arkansas for the past 5 years.  He graduated from Williams Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, AR, in 2011, with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries with emphasis in Youth Ministry and Religious Education.  Ryan is married to Ra'Shele, and they have three children (dogs), Phoebe, Ruby, and Ryder.  Ryan enjoys playing golf, being outdoors, and the Arkansas State Red Wolves.

Betty Byrd: Secretary

Betty has been serving as Secretary at Grand Avenue since November of 2010.  Betty is a graduate of Will Rogers High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Betty has completed courses in Organizational Management at SMU in Dallas, Texas.  She previously worked as a Territory Assistant for Hallmark, traveling the state of Arkansas for 10 years. Betty enjoys spending time with her son, Jim, and keeping up with the activities of her two grandsons, Jesse and James.

 

 

 

 

Frankie Jo Herron: PreSchool Director

Frankie Jo Herron has been serving as PreSchool Director for almost 25 years at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, where she has attended since she was a teenager. Frankie is a native of Hot Springs, where she graduated from Cutter Morning Star High School. Frankie is retired from the Boy Scouts of America after nearly 50 years of service. Frankie is a volunteer at Lakeside Schools where she works in the library and in the office. Frankie, along with other volunteers in the preschool department, feel the importance of caring for and teaching young children.
